Mycah Hogan is a performer, director, educator, and clown teacher bridging professional theater training with K-12 and higher education leadership.
 

A 2007 graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Mycah encountered the art of clown at the International Theater Workshop in Amsterdam, where he began a lifelong study of the comic world with Christopher Bayes, Head of Physical Acting at the Yale School of Drama. His training includes extensive work in Jacques Lecoq tradition and Grotowski methodologies with master teachers including Giovanni Fusetti, Emmanuelle Delpech, Kevin Kuhlke (Acting & Directing), Mary Overlie (Six Viewpoints), Quinn Bauriedel (Improvisation), Anya Saffir (Practical Aesthetics), and Justine Wolf Williams (Play).
 

As an actor, Mycah has appeared off-Broadway (Roundabout, The New Group), regionally (Williamstown Theater Festival), and locally (The Gamm Theater, The Wilbury Group, Trinity Repertory), working alongside talents including Sarah Paulson, Andrew Garfield, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jeremy Strong, and Lily Rabe, and under directors including Kathleen Turner and Scott Elliott.
 

Mycah currently serves as Academic Dean at Achievement First Providence High School, where he leads instructional excellence for 500+ students and manages faculty across performing arts, visual arts, and health/wellness. With 12+ years in the Achievement First network—including founding the network's first Rhode Island elementary school in 2013—he is preparing for principal leadership through Rhode Island's Fast-Track Principal pathway.
 

As a teacher and director, Mycah is on faculty at Brown University/Trinity Rep's MFA Program (Performance Pedagogy) and NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He is also the Director of Education at the Wilbury Theatre Group, where he leads The Booboisie, two-year physical theater training program.

Mycah regularly teaches clown intensives in the Northeast, NYC, Philly, and in Providence, where he also leads his signature class EMBODIED ACTION: An Acting Class for Everyone athe Wilbury Group. He is also currently developing The Performing Teacher Method, a Substack and teacher resource platform designed to help educators teach from presence using his unique STAR framework.
